· There is a vacancy for one Muslim brother in the rooms upstairs, for next academic year. Anyone interested to live in Masjid should contact brother Abish.

 

· The ISGL Youth Group is conducting a two-week food drive (starting today) to collect non-perishable food items (specifically pasta, canned vegetables, canned fruits, canned tuna, and cereal) and toiletries (tissue paper and paper towels). Youth have been split into two teams and are vying for your donated items. Donated items can be placed in the labeled barrels in the men's small prayer hall (for brothers) and the sister's prayer hall (for sisters). All items collected will be distributed by the local Food Finder Food Bank to local families in the community in need of these items.

 

· ISGL Youth Group will have Ice Cream social today at 6 PM as part of their Summer Program. Please check the calendar of events on the ISGL Youth Group bulletin board for more information.

 

· The Imam Search Committee has posted the job description for the imam position for the masjid on the EC bulletin board as well as on the masjid website www.isglonline.org. Any community member who would like to recommend a possible candidate is requested to contact the Imam Search Committee via the email listed in the job description.

 

· Halaqahs going on this week in the masjid:

· 10-15 minute short talk every night after Maghrib prayer

· Sisters weekly halaqah tonight (Friday) after Maghrib prayer

· The weekly Qur’an recitation halaqa conducted by Br. Isam Badawi will be held on Sunday after Maghrib prayer

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ka’b bin Malik Group (led by Br. Imran Yaacob) on Sunday after Dhuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to talk to Br. Haroon Mohammad or Br. Aurangzeb.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
