· Elections for the EC Board will be held tomorrow, Saturday, April 17. A quorum of ISGL members is required for the elections to proceed. Please try your best to make it tomorrow. The following positions are up for election:

· EC secretary

· Fundraising coordinator/NAIT representative

· Islamic Education Board (IEB) Coordinator

Only ISGL members are eligible to ote in the elections. For more information, please contact the ISGL Election Committee (Dr. Zarjon Baha, Dr. Mourad Ouzzani, Br. Sultan Ahmed)

 

· The MSA is collecting money to buy highly needed hygienic supplies for the local homeless shelter.  The deadline to submit donations is next Friday, April 23.  You may put donations in the specially marked GREEN boxes in both the women and men's prayer halls.  The homeless shelter is in great need and donating money will insha Allah be a source of da'wah and be benefit to donators in the hereafter.  For any questions, please contact Br. Adil Ghafoor.

 

· The ISGL Youth Club will be conducting elections for next year’s executive board next Saturday, April 24, after Asr prayer (5:45 PM) at the masjid. The event is restricted to Muslim male youth from 6^th – 12^th grades. Parents/guardians of participating youth must sign a waiver form.  For more information, please talk to Br. Salah Issa.

 

· Reminder: Please contact one of the EC Board members immediately should an incident arise where either the physical structure of the masjid is damaged or one of its attendees is harmed while on ISGL property. Community members are requested not to engage the individuals responsible for said damage on their own.

 

· We would like to remind our brothers and sisters in the community that any message you would like to have announced (on the Friday announcements) must be approved by the EC Board. Announcements should be submitted to the EC Secretary, Br. Sohail Sadiq.

 

· The masjid library is reserved for the sisters to use every Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We would like to request brothers to avoid using the masjid library during that time interval.

 

· Halaqahs going on this week in the masjid:

· 10-15 minute short talk every night after Maghrib prayer

· Da’wah education seminar on Saturday at 2:30 PM in the Lily Life Sciences Building (LILY), Room 2102. Please contact Br. Adil Ghafoor if you have any questions.

· Sisters weekly halaqah tonight (Friday) after Maghrib prayer

· The weekly Qur’an recitation halaqa conducted by Br. Isam Badawi will be held on Sunday after Maghrib prayer

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ka’b bin Malik Group (led by Br. Imran Yaacob) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to talk to Br. Haroon Mohammad.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
