 Athan Times

· Congratulations to Dr. Walid Sharabati on his engagement (nikah) this week. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, bless this union and make it a source of mercy and blessing for the Dr. Walid and his fiancee. Ameen.

 

· Congratulations to Brother Ali (one of the taraweeh prayer imams) and his family for being blessed with a baby boy named Muhammad. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, make him a coolness for his parents eyes and help make him a righteous Muslim. Ameen.

 

· The ISGL Youth Club will be conducting its third event of the semester next Saturday, March 27 after Asr prayer (5:30 PM). The event will be a short discussion followed by a game of kickball. This event is restricted to Muslim male youth from 6^th – 12^th grades. Parents/guardians of participating youth must sign a waiver form.  For more information, please see the flyer in the MSA bulletin board or talk to either Br. Haroon Mohammad or Br. Jamal Khadra.

 

· Elections for the following EC Board positions will be held on Saturday, April 17:

· EC secretary

· Fundraising coordinator/NAIT representative

· Islamic Education Board (IEB) Coordinator

Only ISGL members are eligible to nominate, be nominated, and vote in the elections. For more information, please contact the ISGL Election Committee (Dr. Zarjon Baha, Dr. Mourad Ouzzani, Br. Sultan Ahmed)

 

· Reminder: Please contact one of the EC Board members immediately should an incident arise where either the physical structure of the masjid is damaged or one of its attendees is harmed while on ISGL property. Community members are requested not to engage the individuals responsible for said damage on their own.

 

· We would like to remind our brothers and sisters in the community that any message you would like to have announced (on the Friday announcements) must be approved by the EC Board. Announcements should be submitted to the EC Secretary, Br. Sohail Sadiq.

 

· The masjid library is reserved for the sisters to use every Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We would like to request brothers to avoid using the masjid library during that time interval.

 

· Halaqahs going on this week in the masjid:

· 10-15 minute short talk every night after Maghrib prayer

· Sisters weekly halaqah tonight (Friday) after Isha prayer

· The weekly Qur’an recitation halaqa conducted by Br. Isam Badawi will be held on Sunday after Maghrib prayer

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ammar ibn Yasir Group (led by Br. Hazrool Haidzir) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to talk to Br. Haroon Mohammad.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
