· Inna lil-Lahi wa inna ilayhi raji’oon. We would like to express our condolences to Brother Lutfe Siddiqui on the death of his grandmother in Bangladesh earlier this week. May Allah, azza wa jal, forgive Brother Lutfe’s grandmother for her sins, make her grave spacious for her, and make her amongst the inhabitants of Jannah. Ameen.

 

· A da’wah education seminar will be offered to the community starting next Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 2:30 PM in Lilly Life Sciences Building (LILY), Room 3012. The course is open to all members of the Muslim community who would like to get involved in the da’wah activities of the masjid and reaching out to the local non-Muslim community. For more information, please contact Brother Adil Ghafoor.

 

· The ISGL Youth Club will be conducting its first event of the year this Sunday, February 28, 2010 after Asr prayer (4:30 PM) – PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL PARTICIPANTS MEET AT THE MASJID FOR ASR. The event will be a short reminder followed by a fun game of dodge ball at the Purdue Recreational Sports Center (RSC). This semester is a trial period for the club and thus the group is restricted to Muslim male youth from 6^th – 12^th grades. Youth who would like to participate in this event must sign have their parents/guardians sign a waiver form in order to be able to participate.  For more information, please see the flyer in the MSA bulletin board or talk to either Br. Salah Issa or Br. Jamal Khadra.

 

· We would like to remind our brothers and sisters in the community that any message you would like to have announced (on the Friday announcements) must be approved by the EC Board. Announcements should be submitted to the EC Secretary, Brother Sohail Sadiq.

 

· The masjid library is reserved for the sisters to use every Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We would like to request brothers to avoid using the masjid library during that time interval.

 

· Halaqahs going on this week in the masjid:

· 10-15 minute short talk every night after Maghrib prayer

· Sisters weekly halaqah tonight (Friday) after Isha prayer

· MSA halaqah (open to brothers & sisters) on learning Quran’ic Arabic will be tomorrow (Saturday, February 6) from 4:15 – 5:15 PM in Lilly Building, Room 3102

· The weekly Qur’an recitation halaqa conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held on Sunday after Maghrib prayer

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ka’b bin Malik Group (led by Br. Imran) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to talk to Br. Haroon Mohammad.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
