· Inna lil-Lahi wa inna ilayhi raji’oon. We would like to express our condolences to Sister Shamas on the death of her father, Brother Mohammad Abdullah Al Dahmani, earlier this week. May Allah, azza wa jal, forgive Brother Mohammad for his sins, make his grave spacious for him, and make him amongst the inhabitants of Jannah. Ameen.

 

· The Muslim Student Association (MSA) will be hosting a movie night next Thursday, February 18, 2010 starting at 7:00 PM in Rawls Hall (RAWLS), Room 1062. A PBS production of the movie “30 days as a Muslim” will be shown.

 

· The ISGL Youth Club will be conducting its first event of the year on Sunday, February 28, 2010 after Asr prayer. The event will be a short reminder followed by a fun game of dodgeball at the Purdue Recreational Sports Center (RSC). This semester is a trial period for the club and thus the group is restricted to Muslim male youth from 6^th – 12^th grades. For more information, please see the flyer or talk to either Br. Salah Issa or Br. Jamal Khadra.

 

· The masjid library is reserved for the sisters to use every Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We would like to request brothers to avoid using the masjid library during that time interval.

 

· Halaqahs going on this week in the masjid:

· 10-15 minute short talk every night after Isha prayer

· Sisters weekly halaqah tonight (Friday) after Isha prayer

· MSA halaqah (open to brothers & sisters) on learning Quran’ic Arabic will be tomorrow (Saturday, February 6) from 4:15 – 5:15 PM in Lilly Building, Room 3102

· The weekly Qur’an recitation halaqa conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held on Sunday after Maghrib prayer

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ali bin Abu Talib Group (led by Br. Lutfe Siddique) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to talk to Br. Haroon Mohammad.
