· Eid-ul-Adha prayer will be next Friday (November 27) at Burtsfield School gymnasium (same location as Eid-ul-Fitr) starting at 8:30 AM. Any brother who needs a ride should meet at the masjid for Fajr prayer and rides to Burtsfield will be provided afterwards. Anyone who would like information regarding where to perform the udhiya/qurbani should contact Brother Ibrahim Aly.

 

· Congratulations to our dear brother, Bilal Khurshid, on successfully defending his Ph.D this week. We ask Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, to grant Brother Bilal and his family the best of success both in this life and in the Hereafter. Ameen.

 

· The ISGL is initiating a Winter Clothes Drive to collect gently-used or new winter clothes (coats, sweatshirts, hats, gloves, scarves, socks) to assist Muslims in need in our community and surrounding communities. Please place donations in the specially-marked boxes/zones. The deadline to submit items is Friday, December 4, 2009. Items will also be collected before the Eid prayer next week. Contact Brother Adil Ghafoor for more information.

 

· There are regular Quranic Arabic Halaqa’s going on every Thursday from Maghrib to Isha in Beering room 1238. These classes are taught by Brother Ibrahim Aly. For more information please contact Br. Enosh.

 

· The weekly Qur’an recitation halaqa conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held Sunday at the Masjid after maghrib prayer. There is also a sisters Quran halaqa on Saturday after Maghrib.

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be Omar Ibn Alkhattab Group (led by Brother Liaqut Iqbal) on Sunday after Asr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to sign up on the sign-up sheet on the MSA Bulletin Board.

 

· Anyone who would like to purchase a parking permit (to park in Purdue's garage on University Street) - 2 blocks from the masjid) on Jumm'ah needs to sign up in the sign-up sheet in the small prayer hall. Tickets cost $5 and will be available for pick-up after Isha prayer Tuesday - Thursday.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
