· The MSA and ISGL would like to invite all community members to attend a special weekend workshop with Imam Mustafah Umar next Sunday (April 5, 2009). The theme of this workshop is "The Connection Between Aml (actions) and Iman (faith) in Islam." All lectures will take place on Purdue University's campus in the Lily Life Sciences Building, Room 2102. Imam Mustafah will also be delivering a da'wah talk on Monday, April 6 entitled "The Concept of God and Jesus in Islam."  The talk will take place at 7 PM in Forney (FRNY) Hall of Chemical
Engineering, Room G140. For more details, please pick up a flyer on your way out of the masjid.

 

· Elections for ISGL EC positions will be held on Sunday 4/19/09.  Eligible ISGL members are requested to submit nominations for these positions.  Please place your nominations  in the marked grey box on the wall in the small men's prayer hall.  The following four positions are available for nomination:

 

· General Coordinator (2 years)

· Islamic Center Board (ICB) Coordinator (2 years)

· Treasurer (2 years)

· Fund raiser/NAIT Representative (1 year)

                     

· Vacancies for students are available on the second floor in the masjid.  For more information please contact Brs. Bokar (resident’s consoler), Isam Badawi or Haroon Mohammad.

 

· Muslim Students Association will continue its semester long history halaqah TONIGHT after Maghrib prayer in the masjid. Please contact Brother Hany Gabal for more information.

 

· The weekly Qur’an memorization halaqah conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held Sunday at the masjid after Maghrib prayer.

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Omar ibn Al-Kattaab Group (led by Brother Liaquat Iqbal) on Sunday after Asr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to sign up on the sign-up sheet on the MSA Bulletin Board.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
