Dr Jihad Charabati ( ISGL Coordinator) has accepted a new position in Pennsylvania and will be leaving us at the end of this month.  We are saddened by his departure but would like to wish him and his family happiness, blessings and guidance from Allah (swt) in all of his future endures.

 

There are two positions vacated on the ISGL Executive Committee: Coordinator and Secretary

Dr Mourd Ouzzani is head of the election committee.

Nominations will be accepted from ISGL members starting today till Friday Jan 12.  Please use the provided forms and suggestion box to submit your nominations.

Elections for the two positions will be held on Saturday 01/20/07 after Maghrib in the Masjid.

 

The last day of Islamic School semester will start at 11:00am this Sunday (Dec 17).

 

Everyone is invited to attend the Hajj Reenactment by the children of the Islamic School.  This will start immediately after Salat Zuhur this Sunday.  Please join us and show your support for our school and our students.

 

Congratulations to Brs. Mohamed Salahat, Sharaf, and Issa Khalil for successfully defending their PhDs. May Allah (swt) grant him and his family success with it and make it a source of blessing for the Muslim Ummah

 

Congratulations to Dr. Rashid Bashir and his family for being blessed with a baby girl named Sophia. May Allah (swt) make her a coolness for her parents' eyes and raise her to be a good Muslim.

 

Br. Zeyad AbdulRazzaq's father-in-law died earlier this week in Palestine. May Allah (swt) forgive him for his sins, accept his good deeds, and grant him Jannat-al-Firdaws.

 

Islamic Halaqa’s:

Brothers Quran Memorization and studies Halaqa will be on Saturday after Salat-ul-Isha.

Sister’s Halaqa every Friday night at the Masjid, insha’Allah.

 

Cleaning will be done by the Pakistani Group and any volunteers who want to join them on Sunday after Thuhr prayer.
