· Students, as you sign up for your Spring semester of classes, please take note of the following: you can incorporate a 1 hour time block in your schedule for jumm’ah prayer by signing up for ACTIVITY 900 (ACTY 900). Purdue University policy forbids instructors from punishing students for attending valid, required religious services/functions during class time. If you have questions related to time conflicts between class and jumm’ah prayer, please consult one of the MSA Board members.
· The Muslim Students Association will continue its weekly Islamic history halaqah series entitled “The Rise and Fall” next Friday after Maghrib prayer in the masjid. For more details, please contact Brother Hany Gabal.
· The 3-part tajweed and Qur’an recitation program will be held this weekend. Level 1 will be held tonight from 6 – 9:30 PM. Level 2 will be held on Saturday from 6 – 9:30 PM and level 3 will be held from 6-9:30 PM on Sunday. Please contact Brother Isam Badawi for more information.
· Please remember to abide by the masjid parking rules as developed by the EC Board. Please do not park your car at the masjid and go to class or attend other functions. Parking for the msjid is restricted to individuals who are physically present inside the masjid.
· The weekly Qur’an memorization halaqah conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held Saturday at the masjid after Maghrib prayer.
· The cleaning group for this week will be the Omar bin al-Khattab group (led by Brother Liaqat Iqbal) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to sign up on the sign-up sheet on the MSA Bulletin Board.
