· The Muslim Students Association would like to invite the entire community to attend the first weekend retreat of this semester entitled: “A Call for Co-Existence: The Life of the Four Imams” to be held tonight and tomorrow (October 24-25) by our guest speaker, Shaykh Bachir, from Orlando, FL. The program will begin tonight with the first talk after Maghrib prayer in the masjid. The program will continue at Rawls Hall tomorrow morning. Free babysitting is being offered and refreshments will be provided for breakfast and lunch. For more details, please pick a flyer up on your way out of the masjid.

 

· Congratulations to Brother Nauman Butt for successfully defending his PhD. May Allah, azza wa jal, grant him the best of success in this life and the Hereafter.

 

· The ISGL Executive Committee would like to thank all that have contributed to our recent fund raising effort for the Masjid.  May Allah reward you for this in this life and in The Akhira.  The total amount raised was $73,523 of which about $27,000 is still pending.  Please follow through on your pledge if you have not done so already.  For any questions, please contact Dr Sankari.

 

· Please remember to abide by the masjid parking rules as developed by the EC Board. Please do not park your car at the masjid and go to class or attend other functions. Parking for the masjid is restricted to individuals who are physically present inside the masjid.

 

· The Muslim Students Association will continue its weekly Islamic history halaqah series entitled “The Rise and Fall” next Friday due to the talk tonight. For more details, please contact Brother Hany Gabal.

 

· The weekly Qur’an memorization halaqah conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held Sunday at the masjid after Maghrib prayer for this week only.

 

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Az-Zubair bin Al-Awwam group (led by Brother Ibrahim Aly) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to sign up on the sign-up sheet on the MSA Bulletin Board.
