· The Muslim Students Association would like to invite the entire community to attend the first weekend retreat of this semester entitled: “A Call for Co-Existence: The Life of the Four Imams” to be held next Friday October 24. We will have a guest speaker, Shaykh Bachir, from Orlando, FL visiting our community to deliver a series of talks. For more details, please contact Brother Hany Gabal.
· The ISGL Executive Committee would like to thank all that have contributed to our recent fund raising effort for the Masjid. May Allah reward you for your generosity in this life and in the Akhirah. The total amount raised was $73,523 of which about $27,000 is still pending. Please follow through on your pledge if you have not done so already. For any questions, please contact Dr Sankari (EC Treasurer).
· There will be a new Qur’an halaqah focused on recitation teaching and practice conducted by Brother Isam Badawi. The sessions will be divided up based on one’s personal level of recitation. For more details, please talk to Brother Isam (Islamic Education Board (IEB) Coordinator).
· The Muslim Students Association will continue its weekly Islamic history halaqah series entitled “The Rise and Fall” tonight (Friday, October 17) between Maghrib and Isha prayers at the masjid. For more details, please contact Brother Hany Gabal.
· The weekly Qur’an memorization halaqah conducted by Brother Isam Badawi will be held Saturday at the masjid after Maghrib prayer.
· The cleaning group for this week will be the Jabalayn group (led by Brother Hany Gabal) on Sunday after Thuhr prayer. Any brother interested in earning ajr (reward) for helping to clean the masjid is requested to sign up on the sign-up sheet on the MSA Bulletin Board.
