1. Ramadan preparations update a. Reiteration of our date-determination method for first day of Ramadan and Eid b. Tarweeh Imam and timings c. Weekday Iftars for singles at Masjid arrangements · Local restaurant is charging $10 per person which is expensive. · Yahya to be in-charge of the ‘Singles Iftar’ · Dr. Sankari is going to check the prices from DNR and Haroon to talk to S.A.M’s for catering. · Dr. Sankari has taken all the Wednesdays during Ramadan, Pizza Dinner. · Fridays will be open for any community member/s to host the Iftar in the Masjid for the singles.
e. Review Community Iftar dates and WHERE to be held · Saturday will be a community Iftar (Potluck Style) · Masjid or Morton Community center not decided yet.
2. Building fund investment options · $20,000 available in the new building funds · GA meeting will be held on Saturday August 16, Agenda includes: · Investment of the New Building Funds · Full Time Imam · Open Floor
3. Membership drive and new Membership Form to be ready before new semester.
4. Masjid building maintenance projects review. · August 13 four of the windows will be replaced, $600/ window. · August 14 the multi-basin sink of the second floor bathroom will be replaced. · August 26, work will started to fix the tenants shower, redirection of the drainage from the roof, wiring the electricity for gazebo & kiosk, and lighting to the parking lot. (total estimate: $2,800).
5. Fundraising update · Brochure is being developed for this drive
6. Picnic/Potluck before Ramadan (on August 30th at Happy Hollow Park) · This was approved
7. Masjid's Lawn Mowing - Weekly/Bi Weekly Schedule · Ask Dr. Mahmood Khan to sign up Masjid’s lawn mowing to the company he is using.
