· The elections for the following EC Board positions (Secretary, Islamic Education Board Coordinator, NAIT and Fundraiser Coorinator, and Treasurer) will be held on Saturday, April 14.  Nominations for these positions can be made starting on until Wednesday, April 11. Only registered ISGL members are permitted to nominate and be nominated for these positions. Any questions regarding the EC elections can be directed to Dr. Mourad Ouzzani, head of the elections committee.

 

· The MSA will be holding elections on Friday, April 11. Nominations for all six MSA Board positions can be made only by registered MSA members until Monday, April 7 using the nomination forms provided in the small prayer hall. For more information, please contact either Brother Hany Gabal or Brother Haroon Mohammad.

 

· An electric power drill and vehicle jumper cables placed on the masjid shelves were reported missing earlier this week. If anyone has any information about these two items, please contact Brother Isam Badawai.

 

· The Muslim Students Association will in shaa Allah continue its halaqah series “Torchbearers of Islam,” On Monday, March 17, 2008 in Beering, Room B242. For more information, please contact Brother Haroon Mohammad or visit the MSA website: www.purdue.edu/msa

 

· There is a weekly Qur’an halaqah conducted by Abu Muhannad on Wednesdays and Saturdays between Maghrib and Isha prayer. For more information, please contact Abu Muhannad.

 

· The halaqah on Tafsir ibn Kathir will continue tonight (Friday) after Maghrib prayer.

 

· The masjid is in need of donations to cover expenses for three major maintenance projects:

· One was completed to replace the water leak associated with the sprinkler system

· The second project is to fix the water leakage in the men’s wudu area/bathroom.

· The third project is to clean the masjid gutters which are clogged with debris

· The weekly masjid cleaning group for this week is the Egyptian Group and any volunteers who want to join them on Sunday after Thuhr prayer.

 

· The site plan and flyer for the new Community Center and Islamic School for the community is available on the table in the small prayer hall. We encourage all community members to pick up a copy on your way out of the Masjid.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously as you are leaving. Donations can be placed either in the small brown box on the table in the small prayer hall or in the big brown donation box in the back of the small prayer hall. Donations can also be made online at the ISGL website: www.isglonline.org
