· We would like to Congratulate Dr. Waleed Sharabati and his family for welcoming a baby girl. May Allah (SWT) bless her throughout her life and raise her to be a strong Muslimah, insha’ Allah.

 

· ISGL is conducting membership drive.  Membership forms are available in the small prayer hall or can be obtained online at ISGLonline.org forms may be dropped in the large donation box or emailed to info@isglonline.  Deadline to qualify as a voting member is October 1, 2011.

 

· ISGL Elections for two positions that will be available on the ISGL EC will be held on Saturday October 29.

 

· The Big Sisters Program is kicking-off its registration drive for their Fall 2011 session. This semester contains an exciting set of activities for young sisters ages 5-18 in our community! We humbly request families interested in sending their daughters to this program to please submit a completed registration form by Sunday, October 2. Any family that is not currently receiving emails from the Big Sisters Program but would like to get their children involved can contact the Big Sisters Program at bigsisterswestlafayette@gmail.com or speak with Sr. Silai Mirzoy.

 

· The Big Sisters Program & ISGL Youth Group are organizing a youth trip (for youth ages 10-18) to Fishers, IN for an awesome ONE-DAY seminar on the Tafsir of Surah Ar-Rahman to be delivered by the engaging instructor, Br. Nouman Ali Khan (of Bayyinah Institute). The seminar will take place on Saturday, October 8. Families interested in sending their youth to this exciting educational program are requested to contact either Br. Haroon Mohammad (brother’s side) or Sr. Silai Mirzoy (sisters side) for more information.

 

· The Islamic school is holding an “Improvement meeting” for all parents and community members this upcoming Sunday September 25^th at 11pm here as the masjid. All are encouraged to come.

 

· Halaqahs this week:

· Short hadith reminders after Maghrib prayer every night.

· Quran Tajweed Learning Halaqa every Friday after Maghrib Led by Brother Ali and Brother Ihsan.

 

· We would like to remind that the masjid is looking for more volunteer groups consisting of 5 or more people for the weekly masjid cleaning days.  The Masjid cleaning is done by volunteers every Sunday after Zuhr prayer. It is less than one hour every 2 month.  This is a greatly appreciated and rewarding volunteer project and we urge those who are interested to talk to Brother Adil Ghafoor or Ibrahim Aly.

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Zubair Ibn Al Awam Group led by Brother Mokhles Elsysy Sunday September 25th, after Dhuhr prayer.

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
