 Athan Times

· For this upcoming Ramadan, the ISGL will again be hosting a free iftar for single brothers and sisters, five days a week, Monday – Friday.  We kindly ask you to donate to this cause.   Insha’ Allah, Allah will reward you for contributing to the fast-breaking of Muslims in your community. You can donate in the specified donation box located in the small men’s prayer hall.

 

· If any family or group in the community would like to sponsor a community iftar here at the Masjid on Saturdays. There are 3 Saturdays available and any family or group wanting to sponsor or co-sponsor an iftar should to talk to Br. Ibrahim Aly or Adil Ghafoor. 

 

· The Islamic School will be having a community picnic tomorrow (Sat, July 23^rd) at Squirrel Park from 6pm-8pm. All community members are invited to enjoy a last picnic before the month of Ramadan.  The picnic will be a potluck style in which families are asked to donate and bring dishes of food and singles to donate drinks.

 

· The ISGL Youth Group is currently running a food drive to collect non-perishable items (ex. pasta, cereal, canned food) to support local families in need in the Lafayette and West Lafayette communities. Donated items can be placed in one of the brown boxes in the small prayer hall. Monetary donations are also being accepted (please use the specially-marked donation box). All items collected will be donated to the local Food Finders food bank in Lafayette. Please talk to Br. Haroon Mohammad or Br. Salah Issa if you have any questions. May Allah, azza wa jal, reward you for contributing to this youth project.

 

· Halaqahs this week

· Sirah of the Khalifa of Othman ibn Affan every Sun, Tues, & Thurs after Maghrib.

· Short hadith reminders after Maghrib prayer every night.

· Quran Tajweed Learning Halaqa every Friday after Maghrib Led by Brother Ali and Brother Ihsan.

 

· We would like to remind that the masjid is looking for more volunteer groups consisting of 5 or more people for the weekly masjid cleaning days.  The Masjid cleaning is done by volunteers every Sunday after Zuhr prayer. It is less than one hour every 2 month.  This is a greatly appreciated and rewarding volunteer project and we urge those who are interested to talk to Brother Adil Ghafoor or Ibrahim Aly.

· The cleaning group for this week will be KHALID IBN WALEED Group lead by Dr. Waleed Sharabati this Sunday July 24th, after Dhuhr prayer.

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
