· The ISGL will be holding Elections Saturday April 30th After maghrib prayer. The positions up for election include:

· General Coordinator

· Islamic Center Board (ICB) Coordinator

· General Accountant

· Fundraising coordinator/NAIT representative

A description of these positions and eligible candidates will be sent to ISGL members this weekend and nominations are open until Wednesday April 27th. Nominations should be sent to info@isglonline.org before Thursday April 28th. For questions, please contact any member of the ISGL Executive Board.

 

· The MSA will be holding a lecture given by Sheikh Gyasi Mckinzi tonight in Beering Hall Room 2290. The talk is entitled “The State and Future of Islam in America” and is targeted towards Muslims in America. We urge all Muslims to attend this informative and insightful lecture to become more familiar with our faith and its role in this country.

· The MSA would also like to thank the Greater Lafayette Muslim Community for its generous donations that have allowed Islamic Awareness Week to not only be successful but exceed expectations. May Allah SWT reward all the volunteers, organizers, and those who donated and help with this cause in any way. Ameen.

· Halaqahs going on this week

· Short hadith reminders after Maghrib prayer every night.

· Quran Tajweed Learning Halaqa every Friday after Isha’ Led by Brother Ali and Brother Ihsan.

· We would like to remind that the masjid is looking for more volunteer groups consisting of 5 or more people for the weekly masjid cleaning days. The Masjid cleaning is done by volunteers every Sunday after Zuhr prayer. It is less than one hour every 2 month. This is a greatly appreciated and rewarding volunteer project and we urge those who are interested to talk to Brother Adil Ghafoor or Ibrahim Aly

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ali Bin Abu Talib GROUP lead by Br. Husain Abdul Aziz this Sunday April 24th, after Dhuhr prayer.

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
