· We would like to remind community members to remain vigilant regarding the security of the masjid. Please make sure to properly close all entrance doors upon exiting the masjid, especially after Isha prayer.
· The MSA is still collecting canned foods and other nonperishable food items as well as monetary donations as part of our Fall 2007 MSA Canned Food Drive. This food drive will continue until Saturday, November 24. Boxes have been places in both the men’s small prayer hall and in the women’s prayer hall. A flyer has been placed above the box indicating what items can be donated. All items collected will be given to help the needy and the poor in Lafayette.
· Information regarding the details and itinerary for the MSA Brothers Chicago trip is available on the MSA table in the small prayer hall for brothers who are interested in attending. The last day to sign up for the trip is this Sunday (November 18, 2007) evening.
· The MSA Brothers will be having our weekly sports activity tomorrow (Saturday). The event will be basketball in the morning at the Co-Rec starting at 10 AM.
· The site plan and flyer for the new Islamic School for the community is available on the table with the white cloth in the small prayer hall. We encourage all community members to pick up a copy on your way out of the Masjid.
· The weekly masjid cleaning group for this week is the Turkish Group and any volunteers who want to join them on Sunday after Thuhr prayer.
· Please do not forget to donate generously as you are leaving. Donations can be placed either in the small brown box on the table in the small prayer hall or in the big brown donation box in the back of the small prayer hall.
