· There will be some activities going on during the last ten nights of Ramadan which we would like to encourage our fellow Muslims to partake in:

 

· Taraweeh prayers every night after Isha prayer

· Qiyam (night) prayers at 5:15 AM every morning

· Itikhaf at the masjid during the nights in the masjid

 

· The community is invited to attend a community iftar/aqeeqah, which will be held at the masjid tomorrow, Saturday, October 5 after Maghrib prayer.

 

· There will NOT be a daily singles iftar today (October 5), next Monday (October 8) and next Tuesday (October 9) due to October/Fall Break. However, there will be a singles iftar this Sunday, October 7 after Maghrib in the masjid in shaa Allah.

 

· The Eid-al-Fitr prayer will be held at Burtsfield Elementary School (same location as last Eid) either at 8:45 AM next Friday, October 12 or next Saturday, October 13 at 9:30 AM. Please look at either the MSA or ISGL website for updates or call the masjid on Thursday night to find out more details. A map of the location where the Eid prayer will be held will in shaa Allah be put up on the MSA website.

 

· Reminder that zakat-ul-fitr (which is $10 this year) is due before the start of the Eid prayer. You can place your zakat-ul-fitr in the appropriate envelope in the large donation box in the small prayer hall.

 

· There is a brother in need of immediate financial support as he will be released from prison next Wednesday, October 10. Anyone who would like to make a donation to help this brother can place the donation in the appropriate box in the small prayer hall.

 

· The ISGL Membership forms are available on the table with the white table cloth in the small prayer hall. Anyone interested in becoming a member must fill out this form including all current members (if renewing membership). The deadline for submitting forms (place in the gray box in the small prayer hall) to become a voting member has been extended to October 20.

 

· The weekly masjid cleaning group for this week is the Youth Group and any volunteers who want to join them on Sunday after Thuhr prayer.

 

· Please do not forget to donate generously as you are leaving. Donations can be placed either in the small brown box on the table in the small prayer hall or in the big brown donation box in the back of the small prayer hall. Donations can also be made online at the ISGL website: www.isglonline.org
