To be eligible to vote, every member of your family who is 16 years of age and above (except your spouse) is required to complete and submit their own individual membership form by the deadline of October 1.

 

 

 

ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP (From ISGL Constitution)

1. All committed, practicing Sunni Muslim (i.e. one who is free from all of "Those Which

Abrogate Islam" as defined in Appendix-A) according to Ahlu Sunnah Wal-Jamaah who

have resided in the Greater Lafayette area for at least 4 months (one semester for

students) will be acceptable for membership upon filling the proper membership

application.

2. Members must be adult, sane, and physically present in the area.

3. Members pledge that they perform the five obligatory prayers.

4. After being accepted for membership by the executive committee, the members above the

age of 16 years will become voting members. Paying an annual membership fee is

optional but strongly recommended. The suggested annual membership fees are twenty

five U.S. dollars ($25.00) for permanent community members (fifty U.S. dollars, $50.00,

maximum for families), ten U.S. dollars ($10.00) for students (twenty U.S. dollars, $20.00,

maximum for families) per year. These members hereinafter will be called voting

members. The Membership renewal period will be from the first day of the Fall Semester

at Purdue University through the 1st of October. Membership must be renewed on an

annual basis by the deadline of the 1st of October of each year. Renewals received after

this date result in being ineligible to vote during that membership year.

5. All the voting members will constitute the General Assembly of the ISGL.
