· Dr. Main al-Qudah, Assistant Director of the Houston Qur’an Academy and imam from Houston, TX is visiting our community today and tomorrow (December 3-4). There will be a four-hour educational program with Dr. Main entitled “All About Zakah.” All community members are invited to attend. The first session will be tonight from 6-7 PM in the ISGL. Please view the flyers around the ISGL for details.

· The Big Sisters event for this week has been re-scheduled for tonight (Friday, December 3, 2010) at 7 PM. Youth should meet at the Riverside Skating Center (near Border’s bookstore at Wabash Landing). The cost is $6/participant and parents must pick up their daughters by 8:30 PM from the skating center.The ISGL Brothers Youth Group (male youth ages 10-18) is conducting its END-OF-SEMESTER PARTY next Friday (December 10) after Isha prayer. Youth should meet in the ISGL for Isha prayer next Friday.

· Congratulations to both Br. Ejaz Hussain and Br. Hazem ElMeleegy for successfully defending their PhD. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta’ala, grant both of them and their families the best of success in this life and the Hereafter. Ameen.

· Those who want to be on the ISGL e-mailing list and receive important e-mails from the ISGL are requested to sign up on the sign-up sheet available in the men’s small prayer hall as well as women’s prayer hall.

· REMINDER: ISGL parking lots can only be used when a person is in the masjid. Failure to abide by the parking policy may result in your car being towed. Please do not park your vehicle in our neighbor’s parking lot; recently a brother’s car was towed from one of our neighbor’s parking lots and he paid over $150 to retrieve his vehicle.

· Halaqahs going on this week

· Short hadith reminder after Maghrib prayer every night.

· Qu’ranic Arabic halaqah taught by Br. Ibrahim Aly on Saturday after Dhuhr prayer (1:00 PM) in Lily Hall, Room G-401.

· The cleaning group for this week will be the Ammar ibn Yasir group (led by Br. Hazrool Haider) on Sunday after Dhuhr prayer.

· Please do not forget to donate generously.
